10 months passed by since the debut album "Aurea" was released on the 27th September 2010. Since then, the first record of this portuguese singer born in Santiago de Cacém is for 32 consecutive weeks in the National Sales Top, 28 of which were Top 5 and remained in 1st place during eight weeks in a row. Aurea's self-titled album quiclky became Platinum.

 

Aurea performed several showcases in FNAC stores, numerous concert presentations, a duet of the song "Love Me Tender" with Elvis Presley (approved by the Presley family and included in the album "Viva Elvis", released in late 2010), a sold out S. Jorge theater in Lisbon, and a national tour that is curently visiting several cities and will continue until the end of the year.

 

In the past month of May, Aurea's talent was recognized at the Golden Globe Awards, where she won in the category "Best Individual Performer" and was nominee in the categories "Best Song" and "Revelation of the year". It was the first time a national singer was nominee in these 3 categories simultaneously.

 

To close this year full of emotions, achievements and hard work, Aurea is now taking her show to the three portuguese acclaimed coliseums.

 

On the 28th October, Aurea performs at the Coliseum Micaelense (São Miguel island, Ponta Delgada, Azores), passes by Oporto Coliseum on the 11th November, and finishes on the 18th at Coliseu dos Recreios in Lisbon.
